I guess I'm a Hate-monger...

I read an article yesterday morning, which was about an interview Glenn Beck had with Katie Couric. Now, personally, I don't watch the news. I look at some places online, but most of the stuff is caustic and full of bad news.

Anyway, apparently she had him on her show and talked about various issues. What got me (I didn't have time to download the video clip) was the comments at the bottom. Most of them were obnoxious. One said Glenn Beck was a Hate Monger. One of them said he was crazy and a fool, yada, yada, yada.

Sigh.

I was introduced to Glenn Beck a year or so ago when my husband started listening to him on the radio in the car on the way home from work. During the past year, we have listened to him warn us about the government and what was happening. This past March, we accepted his challenge to come on 9/12 and remember what we felt the day after 9/11 eight years ago.

Since that time, we have gotten more involved in the political process and how our government works. He has encouraged anyone listening at every turn to read and learn and educate ourselves on how our government works and what is going on.

He repeats over and over not to take his word for anything, but to read for ourselves.

What saddens me is those people who are so caught up in the media reports that they aren't seeing what's going on in reality. They aren't reading for themselves. They aren't aware.

Glenn Beck is simply trying to wake everyone up to what is involved in our constitution, and what we need to do to support it.

Before you get caught up in the negative, name calling that is going on, take a good look at the real actions.

Like the march on Washington on 9/12. It was peaceful, it was well mannered, it was NOT violent, and there was no one arrested. Unlike the protesting for the G20 summit, in which there was lots of violence, over 80 people arrested, and yet that was a 'permitted' gathering.

Wake up America. The time is growing short. Don't let the main stream media take you for a fool.
